Turkey Tournament -

Thursday December 20 th   Turkey Tournament – this year in place of our traditional Kriss Kindle the Committee have proposed that instead of buying a present you might like to donate the amount and the proceeds will go to ‘ Bothar' . Please come along on the night and support generously, it's a really worthy cause and there will be mulled wine and mince pies !!!

Tennis Golf Outing – Our annual golf outing is to be March 28 th the Friday after Easter. Details will be on the notice board nearer the time.

Ladies Morning continues each Wednesday 10.00 am – 12.00 noon.

Halloween

Our thanks to Brona Dore who hosted a very enjoyable ‘President's night' at Halloween. There was some great tennis followed by a lovely meal in the clubhouse and a bit of ‘craic' after, with a song or two late into the night. A great night was had by all!

Thursday Night American Tournaments

Every Thursday night is Club Night. Play starts at 8.00 pm for senior members only and costs €4.00. If you want a good night of tennis and a few laughs why not come down and join in…no need to book.

Roche League

The Final Of the Roche League will be played on the evening of November 30th.

Please come along and support the finalists and enjoy a glass of wine or two…? Thanks to all those who took part and indeed to the Roche family for sponsoring the competition.

Junior Tennis

Our junior members have had another amazing year…we are very proud of them!

The U/13 team struck gold in August '07. They brought home 8 All Ireland Gold Medals when they won the Community Games Final in Mosney on Sunday 19 th of August.

Congratulations to all the team who qualified to represent Leinster and went on to beat stiff competition from last years winners Ulster (Cavan) in the Semi-Final and Munster (Tipperary) in the Final.

In July we put in some fine performances in the Enniscorthy Junior Open…

Conor Berney won Boys u/10 singles. Kevin Harrington won Boys U/12 singles

Robert Harrington and Mark Berney won Boys U/14 Doubles Congratulations!

In August the girls won the The Leinster Provincial Title U/14 in Naas.

Well-done girls!

At the Wexford Open in August Kevin Harrington and Clodagh Dunne reached the Final of the mixed doubles U/12 and Kevin also reached the Final of the boys singles U/10. You might imagine that Kevin was exhausted playing all that tennis but no! He also made it into the Semi-Final of the Greystones Open in August where he gave a fine performance against the All Ireland no. 2! Following that Kevin was selected to play in the prestigious Fitzwilliam Open and made it to the last 16. Well-done!

Special words of thanks to all the adults who help out with the Junior Teams and run the Junior Tournaments throughout the year. Your hard work is certainly paying off!!

We appeal to any parents who may have time to help out with the Juniors to contact the Junior Committee. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Booking Courts

For advance booking of courts see sheets on notice board in clubhouse. Light tokens are available from ‘Discount Fuels' (Mace) and at a cost of €1.00 for 30 mins.

Keys

Clubhouse keys are for senior members only and are available at a cost of €8.00 from Helen Reddy or Eileen Cullen.
