Anyone
for Tennis?
Are
you currently a member of Gorey Tennis Club, would like to play
more often or are thinking of joining, well there are lots of
ways that you can play more tennis.
New
members are always welcome and membership forms can be downloaded
from HERE
There
is Ladies Tennis on Wednesday mornings from 10.00 – 12.00 which
is very social, ideal if you are looking to get your eye back
in or have a game of ladies doubles followed by tea/ coffee in
the clubhouse.
The
Thursday Night American Tournament takes place every Thursday
at 8pm. It is played as an open draw with mixed doubles. The American
Tournament format ensures that players of differing abilities
all have a good game. We are always looking for new players to
join us so if you are playing at other times during the week and
would like to play why not join us next Thursday?
Courts
may be booked by senior members for a period of one hour from
6.00 p.m. to 10.00 p.m. each day except where the courts have
been reserved for club tournaments or competitions. Booking sheets
are in the clubhouse.
If
you would like to play in a regular game or are available to sub,
there is a sub's sheet and players list on the club notice board.
The aim of the players list is the help players find other people
who are looking to set up a regular game.
Junior
members can play on the c ourts at all times up to 6.00 p.m. except
when there is a tournament, competition scheduled or when they
are being used for coaching. The use of the courts is confined
to club members.
Coaching
is available for junior members weekly on Mondays, Wednesdays,
Thursdays and Fridays from 3.00 – 4.00pm. Call down to the courts
at this time and speak to Jimmy McDonald or Marie Kinsella if
you would like to participate. |
